For now I'll just keep using the whole backup name idea, it's not perfect but it'll do for now! So basically whenever I talk to another follower Lydia breaks, if I talk to Lydia, sometimes she breaks.Īnyway, I guess that's all the info I have. Now, if Lydia's name is visible and I can interact with her, sometimes after talking to her name stays fine and other times it disappears. Every time I talked to Jordis or Aela, Lydia's name vanished and I'd have to restore her name to her backup and then rename her again. I tested this a lot last night as I was in the process of upgrading everyone's armor and weapons. I also noticed what could potentially be causing this, or at least hint to it? Her name seems to be fine until I talk to another follower, then, almost as if she is jealous or mad, her name vanishes and she refuses to talk. I noticed that while her name is gone I can't click on her but if I use Convenient Horses and use the hot key to talk to NPCS while on horseback, I am still able to talk to her, it just doesn't show her name at all and she is still broken if I try to talk to her normally. It's not perfect but it'll do for now until a fix is found. At least this way I have some semblance of control or backup for when her name vanishes. Whenever her name vanishes I restore her name and it sets her back up as Lydia Backup, then I just rename her again to the name I want shown. For now what I have taken to doing is renaming Lydia to Lydia Backup, then renaming her Lydia again. I have the force name change option clicked but I didn't realize that only comes into effect when you reload. Well, I renamed my horse but he has been fine. Lydia is the only one this happens to, she is the only one I renamed. Obviously using the restore name function works, but only momentarily as eventually her name would vanish again even without anther option to restore to. I've been tooling around online trying to figure this out. To be fair, I originally was only going to use the renamer on equipment but then I figured my current party of three : Jordis, Lydia, and Aela, Lydia was the only one without a title so I'd rename her to have one. When Renamer came after my extra followers just wandered away and wouldn't work, but with it before sometimes Lydia's name disappears. This is straight from Loot except I moved Renamer to come before AFT.

I pressed K to access inventory, and I couldn't. This happened with my horse, and I somehow was able to rename them and now I can interact again. Usually I can fix this by undoing the rename, but I did this and I still can't interact with the dog. Well I get a glitch where after I name them and go to interact with them like a in game week later, there's no option to interact. I love this mod, but I encounter a glitch after a while.
